"The Time of My Life: My Coast 2 Coast Adventure" by Clarence Bechter
"In my younger years, a seed was planted with a thought to ride my bicycle across the USA from sea to shining sea. As the yeas passed, some of life and responsibilities became more important, my family and my life's work. At the ripe young age of 62, I started mountain climbing and within a few years I had reached the summit of eleven, 14,000 foot peaks, including Mount Whitney in California. At the age of 67 years young, I discovered Bubba's Pampered Pedalers and made the decision to go with his tour group in the winter of 2019. My wife Mary game me her blessing, to live out my dream of some 55 years, she reminded me that I have spent my whole life doing for others now it's time for me to do what I always dreamed of. I dedicated each day to people in my family and in my life who have influenced and supported me in my ride across the country. The list grew to over 100, and I had 52 days to fit everyone in ..." - Back cover.
