Local true crime author Jane Ann Turzillo will discuss her writing career and sign copies of her books.
Jane Ann Turzillo is a double Agatha Award nominee and several-time National Federation of Press Women award winner. She writes about and gives presentations on true crimes in Ohio history. As an original owner of a large Ohio weekly newspaper, she covered police and fire news and wrote a historical column.
She is the author of eight books. The latest is "Ohio Heists: Historic Bank Holdups, Train Robberies, Jewel Stings and More." Many of her short stories and articles have been published in newspapers and magazines across the United States and Canada. She holds degrees in criminal justice technology and mass-media communications from the University of Akron. Her memberships include Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime (immediate past president of the Northeast Ohio chapter), Society of Professional Journalists, and National Federation of Press Women.
