The ABCs of Publishing Your Book for Kids with Sam Subity

Sam Subity grew up in Green, Ohio, before traffic roundabouts and drive-through coffee shops became commonplace. His interest in writing began in eighth grade when a teacher at Green Middle School awarded an A+ to a story he wrote and illustrated.

Since then, Sam has published three middle-grade action-adventure novels: "The Last Shadow Warrior" and "Valor Wings" (Scholastic), and "Heist at the Museum" (Sourcebooks).

Available October 6, "Heist at the Museum" launches a new series inspired by real historical crimes. The story follows a group of young sleuths investigating the largest jewel theft in U.S. history, when thieves stole millions of dollars in gems from the American Museum of Natural History. Blending history, mystery, and adventure, the novel introduces readers to a fascinating true crime story through the eyes of young heroes.
