Step into the unknown — join our speculative fiction book club for bold ideas, wild worlds, and unforgettable journeys! This month's title is "Detour" by Jeff Rake and Rob Hart.

This is a group for speculative fiction fans (science fiction/fantasy) who like to read and discuss genre literature. Each month, we'll have a discussion about a book, either a new release or an older book (but ideally something that most people haven't read yet), that we've read before meeting.

Book Cover of Detour by Jeff Rake and Rob Hart, featuring a picture of a nebula in space.

"Detour" by Jeff Rake and Rob Hart.

"When cop Ryan Crane spots a gunman emerging from an unmarked van, he leaps into action and unknowingly saves John Ward, a billionaire with presidential aspirations, from an assassination attempt. As thanks for Ryan's quick thinking, Ward offers him the chance to join a group of lucky civilians chosen to accompany three veteran astronauts on the first manned mission to Saturn's moon Titan. But when they return to Earth, Ryan and his fellow astronauts notice that things are different. Some changes are good, but others are more disconcerting. Before the group can connect, mysterious figures start tailing them, and their communications are scrambled." - NoveList Plus.
