In celebration of the library’s 150 years of service, create a piece showing what your library means to you. Stop by to register and pick up supplies on Tuesday, March 5, 3-8 pm, while supplies last.
Display your artistic talents in our Little Art Show! So many talented people live in our community. We would love to showcase your talent in our Little Art Show at the following locations: Ellet, Fairlawn-Bath, Firestone Park, Goodyear, Green, Highland Square, Kenmore, Mogadore, Norton, Richfield, Portage Lakes, and Springfield-Lakemore.

If you are unable to attend the in-person registration supply pickup event, call 330.666.4888 to register and reserve your supplies, while they last, through March 19. You will receive a 3" x 3" canvas, paints, and a brush, plus some prompts for creative inspiration related to our theme “Your Library and What it Means to You.” Supplies limited to 40 registrants per branch.
Details for submission:
1. Participants must be 18 or older.
2. Create a piece of art using the supplies provided. You may also use supplies you have at home, but must use the 3" x 3" canvas.
3. One set of supplies per person; You may only participate at one location.
4. Do not frame your canvas.
5. Please use the theme "Your Library and What it Means to You" for your subject matter. Please keep your paintings family-friendly.
6. Please note the correct orientation of the art by placing an arrow on the back of your canvas, noting the side that should be pointing up.
7. Return finished artwork to the branch location where you picked up your supplies by 8 pm on March 19.
8. Art will be on display at each branch from April 1-30. If you wish to keep your artwork, please pick up by Saturday, May 11, 2024.
9. Participants who submit their art for the exhibit will be entered into a prize drawing (one at each participating branch location). Drawings will occur by May 4.
10. By submitting your art, you are giving permission to Akron-Summit County Public Library to display, photograph, and promote it.
The library reserves the right not to display paintings that could be considered offensive or inappropriate.

Serving a vibrant area made up of both residential and business districts, the Fairlawn-Bath Branch Library is a valuable and important hub of enrichment for its diverse and dynamic community.
From families with toddlers, school-agers, or teenagers to active seniors and people who work nearby, patrons of all ages will find much to engage with in the appealing programming that the library presents. Story-times for young children, nature-themed events and craft-making for older youth, and varied programs for adults including book discussions, financial guidance, art instruction, and computer classes offer a wide range of opportunities for entertainment and learning.
Book, movie, music, and e-media collections from the library are equally responsive to the tastes and interests of library patrons. The Fairlawn-Bath Branch Library is also a place to find public computers, free WiFi, photocopiers, scanning and faxing capabilities, and meeting room space for local non-profit groups.
