Join us on Zoom to discuss Terry Pratchett’s satirical fantasy “Hogfather.” You can pick up a copy at Norton Branch Library. Register online, in person, or by phone at 330.825.7800.

The Hogfather, like dear old St. Nick, delivers gifts from his magic sleigh once a year (but pulled by eight airborne hogs instead). But this year, the Grim Reaper, Death himself, must step up and drive the sleigh while his mortal granddaughter tries to deliver that holiday icon - and the world - from a fate stranger than death. It’ll be quite the ride. HO. HO. HO.

Publisher’s Description: “Who would want to harm Discworld’s most beloved icon, the Hogfather? Yet here it is, Hogswatchnight, that most joyous and acquisitive of times, and the jolly old red-suited gift-giver has vanished without a trace. And there’s something shady going on involving an uncommonly psychotic member of the Assassin’s Guild, Mr. Teatime (not pronounced how you think). Suddenly Discworld’s entire myth system is unraveling at an alarming rate. Drastic measures must be taken, which is why Death himself is taking up the reins of the fat man’s vacated sleigh. Which, in turn, has Death’s level-headed granddaughter Susan racing to unravel the nasty, humbuggian mess before the holiday season goes straight to hell and takes everyone along with it.”
