Enjoy an evening with this rollercoaster raconteur, hilarious one moment and heartbreakingly poignant the next. You will be swept away by beautiful songs delivered with arresting live harmonies!
In the summer of 2017, Jim marked his 2000th show. That's a lot of music! Throughout a music career that began in 2001, he has shared stages with notable artists as varied as John Gorka, Peter Mulvey, Tommy James and The Shondells, and Mary Gauthier. Jim has also enjoyed performances with Ohio legends Michael Stanley and Alex Bevan.
Jim has performed multiple times at the acoustic folk/roots concert, Rootstock. He was first runner-up in the 2006 Pittsburgh Singer/Songwriter Competition. He has toured through Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York, Rochester, Boston, and Vermont. Jim was the headliner at The Ritz Theatre in Tiffin, Ohio, for their "First Fridays" event in 2005. They were so taken with his performance that they invited him back every season! Perhaps most notably, Jim Gill was a finalist in the New Song Competition of the 2006 Kerrville Folk Festival.
If you're looking for the children's performer Jim Gill, you're in the wrong place. This is singer/songwriter Jim Gill. He's an award-winning songwriter - plus, he's flat-out hilarious! Although Jim won a songwriting contest, he is most proud of his coloring contest victory back in 4th grade. (Admittedly, other students weren't trying.)
He makes you both laugh at and love humanity.
Light refreshments provided.
