Maker Series: Meet our Laser Engraver

Did you know that Main Library’s makerspace offers free access to a laser engraver? Develop your maker skills in this two-class series by learning how to create a file and then etch it onto an item.

Register online, in person, or by phone at 330.643.9145.

With a laser engraver, you can etch your logo or design into a variety of materials. Our laser engraver can etch or cut complex designs, text, pictures, or patterns. You can use the TechZone to make the design yourself or find something online. This series includes an introduction to using our engraver and how you can create personalized, one-of-a-kind gifts for yourself or others. Item is provided.

Dates, times, topics:

Tuesday, October 4, 2 pm, Class 1: Learn about CorelDraw and how to create a file for etching on an item using our Laser Engraver.

Tuesday, October 11, 2 pm, Class 2: A hands-on laser engraving experience. Using the CorelDraw designs and skills from the previous class, learn how to etch your design into an item using our laser engraver.
