Maker Series: Meet Our Laser Engraver

Main Library’s makerspace offers free access to a laser engraver. Join us for a two-class series to learn more about it, how to create a file, and then etch it onto glass. Registration is required.

With a laser engraver, you can etch your logo or design into a variety of materials. You can use the TechZone to make the design yourself or find something online. Our laser engraver can etch or cut complex designs, text, pictures, or patterns. This series includes an introduction on how to use our engraver and how you can create personalized one-of-a-kind gifts for yourself or others. Glass is provided.

Dates, times, topics:

Class 1: Learn about CorelDraw and how to create a file for etching on glass using our Laser Engraver. Tuesday, August 9 | 2 pm 

Class 2: A hands-on laser engraving experience. Using the CorelDraw designs and skills from the previous class, learn how to your design into glass using our laser engraver.  Tuesday, August 16 | 2 pm 

Please cancel if you cannot attend the class after registration. You can do so online via the email confirmation received at the time of registration or by calling Electronic Services Division at 330.643.9145.
