Charlie Wiener combines story with song, sometimes in a humorous way or to illustrate, always to entertain. Songs touch the heart, kindle memories, evoke emotion; background stories enrich experience.

Join us for an enjoyable evening of song and story.

Charlie Wiener has shared the stage over the years with the likes of Gordon Lightfoot, Randy Newman, John Prine, and The Roches, as well as rock notables Eddie Money, Jefferson Starship, Jeff Beck, Todd Rundgren, and many others. He has performed thousands of shows in nightclubs and colleges from Florida to Alaska, New York to California, and Ontario to Manitoba.

He believes that a good song is a good story told to music. It is a story of love, heartache, a moment in time. It is a reflection on someone’s life. It is personal. And behind every song is the story of how it came to be. The song has more color, texture, life. That is what he hopes to bring to this program, and a deeper understanding of where songs come from.

Charlie Wiener combines story with song, sometimes in a humorous way, sometimes to illustrate, and always to entertain.

Songwriter: a craft to be honed over a lifetime yet never perfected. Charlie Wiener is most proud be being considered a writer, especially a songwriter. To condense a moment in time or a life into several verses and a chorus is the magic of music. He has been performer, comedian, writer, storyteller, and songwriter. To love one's vocation is one of the greatest joys in life. "I have done more with less talent than any human being on the planet." Luck is a wonderful thing. 52 years in and still fooling the masses and enjoying life to the fullest. Charlie Wiener is truly a very lucky man indeed.
