Mini Clinic: Word Series

These half-hour classes will be presented on Zoom to demonstrate and discuss a single topic in Microsoft Word. Register to receive a Zoom link.

Every Monday, one of our technology trainers will demonstrate a specific concept in the first fifteen minutes. A discussion will follow and then questions will be taken in the remaining time. Register for one, some, or all.

Mini Word Clinic 1: Quick Access Toolbar and Tabs | Learn about the quick access toolbar; customize it to your needs; learn commonly used commands in Tabs. Monday, May 3 | 12-12:30 pm

Mini Word Clinic 2: Cut, Copy and Pasting/Formatting Text | Learn how to cut, copy, and paste and format text. Monday, May 3 | 2-2:30 pm

Mini Word Clinic 3: Alignment / line spacing; remove space before and after paragraph | Learn how to align text; set line spacing; and remove unnecessary spaces before and after paragraph. Monday, May 10 | 12-12:30 pm

Mini Word Clinic 4: Save/Save AS; Printing; Export as PDF - Learn when to use Save or Save As as well as how to export your document as a PDF. Monday, May 10 | 2-2:30 pm

Mini Word Clinic 5: Insert Columns; Bulleted lists - Learn how to turn paragraphs into columns and create bulleted lists. Monday, May 17 | 12-12:30 pm

Mini Word Clinic 6: Tables - Learn how to insert a new table in Word; also learn how to copy a table in Word and paste in Excel and vice versa. Monday, May 17 | 2-2:30 pm

Mini Word Clinic 7: Page Numbers - Learn how to insert customized page numbers. Monday, May 24 | 12-12:30 pm

Mini Word Clinic 8: Spelling and Grammar - Learn how to review your document by using Spelling and Grammar functions. Monday, May 24 | 2-2:30 pm

These programs will be presented on Zoom. You will receive an e-mail with the participation weblink a few hours before the program. Please contact the Library if you are unable to attend. A webcam and microphone may be necessary to participate fully in this interactive event. If you have one or neither of these, your participation may be limited.
