Join Secret Tea Society founder and Certified Tea Specialist, Angela Strach-Gotthardt: Share the flavor and nuance of the tea leaf, learn of its journey around the world. Get ideas to start a tradition of sharing tea with family and friends on cool spring days or for warm summer picnics.

You will learn about tea varieties, how to brew each, and ideas on choosing the best brewing methods for hot and iced teas.

We’ll play with natural flavors like peaches, lavender, rosehips, lemon, and cinnamon, each creating a special recipe and memorable moment through tea–the world’s most consumed beverage.

For an enhanced virtual tea tasting, our speaker recommends that you have the following supplies ready at home for the May 17th program:

·         Tea samples (pick up at Norton Library)

·         Four cups - for brewing (light or white is best to view tea color)

·         Four teaspoons

·         One peach or lemon, one pear or mango

·         One or two dried figs or dates (available near the raisins in a grocery store)

·         A few sprigs of garden mint

·         Timer

·         Hot water - don't boil yet

·         Napkins or paper towels for clean-up

·         Paper for taking notes

Supplies are limited; one kit per registration.

Register online, then pick up supplies from the Norton Branch Library beginning May 10.
