Human trafficking is a serious issue in our communities. Hope and Healing is an organization that provides free and confidential services to survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual violence in Summit and Medina counties in Northeastern Ohio. They work to provide healing hope and empowerment to survivors.
This virtual Human Trafficking 101 training is designed to provide basic information about the issue, including how to identify it, how to respond to survivors, and how to get involved in prevention and outreach.
This event is open to all community members, however mature topics will be discussed, so use discretion when attending and sharing with others

The Akron-Summit County Public Library has materials on this subject, including Breaking Free: True Stories of Girls Who Escaped Modern Slavery by Abby Sher.
