Summit Metro Parks is home to a variety of bats. Red bats are common with bright red fur and fluffy neck manes while the big brown bat supports your more “run of the mill” bat characteristics.
Come and learn about the diversity of these seldom seen creatures and what Metro Parks is doing to manage these rare and misunderstood creatures.

The full scope of community participation, however, is seen in local senior care facilities, local schools and preschools, and neighborhood festivals where Highland Square Branch Library staff plays an active role in creating experiences for participants of all ages.
