The story of the people and events that shaped the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, granting women the right to vote. Carl Quatraro will discuss voting rights and restrictions in the U.S.; the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention, beginning of the women’s suffrage campaign; how the 14th and 15th Amendments influenced the suffrage movement; the key women and organizations; notable Supreme Court cases; how World War I influenced the women’s rights effort; and the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920.

Computers and computer classes, WiFi, scanning and faxing, and a diverse collection of books including an Inspirational Fiction section that is one of the largest in our library system, movies, and music make the Mogadore Branch Library a one-stop shop for educational, informational, and entertainment opportunities.
