Defined, Qigong is a Chinese healing art and science that helps you rejuvenate your body, cultivate your mind, and realize your spiritual nature. In this session, you will learn the Four Golden Wheels exercise - movements that are excellent for alleviating stress and re-energizing body and mind. The best part? The more playful and fun the approach, the more effective they are!
Nancy Gardner is a certified instructor of Qigong, Tai Chi, and other martial arts. She has been training since 1985, teaching professionally since 1994. She also is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Polarity Therapy practitioner. Nancy draws on these and other disciplines to create experiential wellness programs for various groups and organizations. She has presented locally, regionally and internationally to diverse audiences – the medical community, legal and accounting firms, schools, non-profits, and major corporations. Through her seminars, retreats, and ongoing Tai Chi and Tai Chi Fit classes (in Akron, Fairlawn, and Green), Nancy's mission is to empower individuals to be as healthy as they can be and to find balance among the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of life.

The full scope of community participation, however, is seen in local senior care facilities, local schools and preschools, and neighborhood festivals where Highland Square Branch Library staff plays an active role in creating experiences for participants of all ages.
