Larry & Joe perform a fusion of Venezuelan and Appalachian folk music on harp, banjo, cuatro, fiddle, maracas, guitar, upright bass, and whatever else they decide to throw in the van.
Larry Bellorín hails from Monagas, Venezuela and is a legend of Llanera music. Joe Troop is from North Carolina and is a GRAMMY-nominated bluegrass and old-time musician.

Culminating concert on Sunday, March 22, 2 pm at Main Library.
Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) presents a week-long World Tour of Music residency series connecting students and community with unique cultures from major world groups. The program aims to broaden communities’ positive exposure to different cultures, help them recognize and respect differences and similarities between themselves and persons of other cultures, and strengthen their own cultural identity. The week culminates in a concert for the community.
Highland Square is one of Akron’s most iconic communities, hosting numerous street fairs and festivals, eclectic shopping and dining, and a vibrant night life. The extremely diverse neighborhood is home to seniors, young families, artists, educators, and students of all demographics. The Highland Square Branch Library is a reflection of this diverse neighborhood, with a standout LGBTQ collection and a rich programming schedule.
Reference assistance, computers and computer classes, WiFi, copiers, scanning, and faxing round out the services provided within the library. The full scope of community participation, however, is seen in local senior care facilities, local schools and preschools, and neighborhood festivals where Highland Square Branch Library staff plays an active role in creating experiences for participants of all ages.
