Enjoy cultural exchange and reading of "Wings of an Eagle: The Gold Medal Dreams of Billy Mills." Facilitated by LaDonna BlueEye (Choctaw) and Shandiin Kaline (Northern Cheyenne). All are welcome.
LaDonna BlueEye, Akron resident and enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, will read the book "Wings of an Eagle: The Gold Medal Dreams of Billy Mills."
LaDonna will be joined by Shandiin Kaline (SHAWN-deen KAY-lean), our visitor from her Northern Cheyenne, MT homelands. LaDonna and Shandiin will greet our guests in the languages of their ancestors and read to the children. A sensory touch box with culturally appropriate items will be available during this event.
