Science Café is an informal discussion with a scientist. Chat about influenza with epidemiologist Dr. Margo Erme.
Geared for adults, but curious kids are welcome. Bring your coffee cup and your curiosity to these casual meetups. Contact us for reading material suggested, but not required, by the guest scientist. The Café will meet in the Science & Technology Division on the first floor of Main Library. Join Dr. Margo Erme, former Summit County Medical Director and communicable disease epidemiologist, to examine how diseases like influenza spread, how vaccinations may help, and what can happen if a virus takes hold of a population such as happened with the influenza pandemic in 1918. The Café will meet in the Science & Technology Division on the first floor of Main Library. Contact Science & Technology at 330-643-9075 or stdiv@akronlibrary.org to reserve your spot.
