Choose six different types of edible plants to pot in a starter container. Take them home to cultivate, and once they’re big enough, plant them in your garden. Please register for this event.
Plants may include cucumber, tomato, various herbs, and peppers. Each participant will plant up to six types of plants to take home and cultivate. Dirt, seeds, and initial planting containers will be provided. Instructions for transplanting and harvesting will be sent home. This program is geared for students in grades 6-12. Life-long enrichment characterizes the North Hill Branch Library experience. A diverse collection of books, movies, and music for all tastes and interests are available for borrowing. The library provides access to computers, WiFi, copiers, scanning and faxing.
Working closely with local organizations serving refugees in their first phase of their resettlement in our city and those working with senior citizens in the neighborhood, North Hill Branch Library continues a strong tradition of serving both Akron's newest community members and those families who have made Akron their home for generations.
