Slow movements and mindful breathing make tai chi and qigong the perfect exercises for all ages and physical abilities. Four-week series taught by Nancy Gardner.
Spend your lunchtime at Main Library with the smooth, relaxing movements of tai chi and qigong, a mind-body exercise to improve health, balance, focus, and much more. This four-week series will be taught by Nancy Gardner and meets outside near the Main Street entrance (weather permitting) or inside on the first floor in front of the Business, Government and Science desk on February 4, 11, 18 and 25 at 12:15-1:00 pm.
Tai chi and qigong are the perfect exercises for people of all ages and physical abilities. Incorporating slow movements, proper posture, and mindful breathing — tai chi and qigong provide many benefits when practiced regularly. Tai Chi is one form of exercise qigong and is a low-impact, weight-bearing practice and internal martial art. Qigong, which means energy cultivation, includes a variety of movement, meditative, and medical practices.
Wear exercise shoes and comfortable clothes, and bring a water bottle.
