Meet the second Thursday evening of every month at Akronym Brewing to think and drink like the ancient Greek philosophers! The Library does not provide food and drink; however, a drink discount for beer/wine on tap is available.

In September, we will be reading & discussing "The Age of Magical Overthinking" by Amanda Montell. In a series of razor sharp, deeply funny chapters, Montell (author of the breakout hit "Cultish") delves into a cornucopia of the cognitive biases that run rampant in our brains, from how the “halo effect” cultivates worship (and hatred) of larger-than-life celebrities, to how the “sunk cost fallacy” can keep us in detrimental relationships long after we’ve realized they’re not serving us. Book summary from the publisher.
