About the branch

Tallmadge Branch Library will close on March 14, 2026 at 5:00 pm for repairs and remodeling, and is scheduled to reopen in the Summer of 2027.

The Tallmadge Branch Library recognizes the rich history of its city while providing relevant and responsive service to today's active and evolving community. The local history Lawrence Collection resides at the public library, and we work closely with the Tallmadge Historical Society to preserve and share the area's important heritage. Today's information and entertainment needs are met through a diverse collection of books that include inspirational fiction titles, local authors, graphic novels, and Tallmadge High School yearbooks. Music and movies, along with computers, WiFi, copying, scanning, and free faxing rounds out a wide range of resources and services. Printing is available both from our computers and from mobile devices including laptops, smart phones, and tablets.

Visitors to the Tallmadge Branch Library enjoy programming for all ages, including Storytime, book discussion, crafting opportunities, movie showings, technology assistance, an annual family-friendly Haunted Library event, and more. Our Children’s area features a train station, educational activities, and a tropical fish aquarium. Displayed above our Children’s section is ceiling art designed and painted by Tallmadge Elementary students. The Tallmadge Branch Library is a one-stop spot for the community's educational and entertainment needs and interests.
