Explore the intersection of books and art at the ArtWalk in Downtown Akron. Browse art books and zines, explore the Bookmobile and former Main Library locations, and enjoy local art openings.

Join the Akron Art Museum, Summit Artspace, and other area arts organizations in celebrating the Akron-Summit County Public Library’s sesquicentennial at the Akron ArtWalk in the Historic Arts District! 

• Art Book Sale - Browse hundreds of used art books, great for aspiring artists to use for learning, reference materials, or collaging in their own work! Browse and find great bargains for purchase, courtesy of The Friends of the Akron Main Library. Proceeds benefit the Akron-Summit County Public Library.
• Bookmobile - Enjoy the library's bookmobile and check out library items to take home.
• Akron on Foot tours - Explore former locations of the Akron Main Library, including the Carnegie building, with a guided tour and reproductions of historic images.
• Art gallery openings and programming - Engage in and support the local art scene with gallery openings at Summit Artspace and hands-on activities with the Akron Art Museum.

Food trucks will be selling dinner and drinks as well.

Every three months, ArtWalk is held in the Historic Arts District on Friday nights from 5 – 9 pm. Community members are invited to the quarterly celebration to enjoy food, music, art, and more. Each ArtWalk will have a specific theme that engages visitors with the arts in new ways. ArtWalk is always free and open to the public.
