Master the concept of raingardens and how they can help your backyard and the environment around you. Presented by the Summit Soil Water Conservation District.

Drop on in to gain and retain the ideas behind raingardens and their influence on the environment and your own backyard! Leave with a personal seed mix to start planning and planting your own raingarden.

Understand the processes at play with this practice and how these gardens are designed to retain runoff and allow more time for the rainwater to soak into the ground where the soil filters out the pollutants.

See how planting water-loving native plants in your raingarden will increase the ecological benefits that they provide.

Uncover how beneficial insects, including pollinators, depend on native plants to complete their life cycle.

With a bit of planning and care, your raingarden will improve water quality and provide habitat benefits for pollinators and other wildlife for many years to come!

Presented by the Summit Soil & Water Conservation District.
